Sketches For The White Van

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Below are a few sketches during the creation of the Ripley’s Adventure The White Van. You can see first hand how this web comic is formed. The first step is creating and deciding what dialog and action are going to take place in each comic frame. This storyboard is given to the artist. Once the initial storyboard is finalized then the sketching of the comic starts to take place. A black and white version is completed first then the color is added to the comic. If you compare these sketches to the final The White Van comic you will see that there were not that many adjustments. The first black and white sketch is very close to the final color comic.
