Golden Retriever Saves Fawn From Drowning

July 16, 2018 by

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Mark Freeley was walking his dog, Storm, along the beach in Long Island Sound (NY) when the golden retriever jumped into the water and started swimming after something. Storm had spotted something in the water. When Storm got back to shore, there was a baby deer in his mouth. After dragging the drowning deer to safety, Storm gave the fawn a couple of barks to make sure it was all right. Mark immediately called in an animal rescue crew to help the deer and then waited with the deer until a veterinarian arrived. The deer is expected to make a full recovery.
